Artist's Comments

This was a project from my first job ever. I was a metal artist for a while. I had drawn all the bricks with a sharpy marker then taped the back side. When I held the tape and dipped it in the acidic substance the sharpy marks were melted through the metal creating my brick design.

The rest of is was cut out with a traditional sawing blade. I think I broke at least 100 of those little saw blades.

It was put together without welding or glue. I had to drill little holes in it and cut wire and fill in the blanks. Then hammer on both sides of the wire, sort of like a double sided nail.

It sold in an art gallery, My art teacher from high school bought in during the show. I was real excited.

That was back in my highschool days. So I don't think I have it in me to make another one of those. Thanks for the comment
